Q: Can I buy direct from Belltech ?

Q: can I use my stock wheels after I lower my truck ?

A: In most scenarios the answer is yes, certain situations require minor trimming of the lower control arm to clear a factory wheel. Depending on the amount of drop and the specific vehicle using the factory wheel is acceptable but often enough a smaller tire will need to be installed to prevent rubbing issues within the inner fender.

Q: After lowering my truck can I still use it to tow ?

A: Depending on the vehicle, amount of drop, components used, amount of axle travel, etc. will all play factors in towing, as will what you are towing and how heavy the load is.
Using a Belltech Airjack kit will help aid in these situations, check with your local retailer for a kit for your specific vehicle.




99-06 Chevrolet Tahoe / Yukon, XL / Suburban / Escalade / Denali
Q: What kit should I use to lower my GM suv 2” in the front and 3” in the rear ?

A: First off there are three different shock options available on these vehicles. These vehicles come with either the electronic adjustable “autoride”, the self adjusting large bodied “premium ride” or just your typical basic shock absorber. Belltech manufactures a different kit to work with each specific one. Research which type your vehicle is equipped with then either contact the Belltech tech line @ 1-888-712-8811 (toll free) or a local retailer for a specific part number.


99-06 Silverado/Sierra Pick up
Q: What Chevrolet truck platforms will your drop spindle part #2508 fit ?

A: Our part #2508 will fit all ½ ton Chevrolet/GMC truck and suv platforms Including 2wd,4wd and AWD from 99-06 as long as you are running a 17” dia. or Larger wheel and tire combination.

Q: How much can I lower one of these trucks in the rear without having to c-section the frame rail above the axle for additional travel ?

A: Due to limited travel on these trucks Belltech recommends that anything lowered more than 3” in the rear that it would be beneficial to c-section the frame.

Q: Will your shackle and hanger kits fit on my 99-06 long bed Chevrolet truck ?

A: No, due to a difference in the front spring hanger, these kits will only fit the short bed truck in either configuration of standard or extended cab.


04-06 Chevrolet Colorado / Canyon
Q: I have a 04-06 colorado/canyon and the truck is lower on the driver side than it is on the passenger side ?

A: To remedy this use a Belltech coil spring spacer part #4932 which installs on top of the coil spring on the driver side which will help level the truck out.

Q: I have a 04-06 colorado/canyon 2wd with the torsion bar suspension, does your lowering ball joint fit this
application ?

A: No, due to a difference in the lower control arm the Lowering ball joint part # 2103 will not fit properly.


82-03 S10/S15 pick up , Blazer, Jimmy
Q: I have a 97-03 S10/S15 and the truck is lower on the driver side than it is on the passenger side ?

A: To remedy this use a Belltech coil spring spacer part #4930 which installs on top of the coil spring on the driver side which will help level the truck out.

Q: I have developed a driveline vibration after installing a 3” block into the rear of my truck ?

A: If the truck is a extended cab model you will need to install a Belltech part # 6202
Which is a 3” block with a 2° taper built in to correct improper driveline angle. The thick end of the block should face the rear of the truck after being installed.

Q: I own a (ZQ8) extreme pick up or blazer, is it lowered from the factory ?

A: Yes, it is lowered 2” front and rear using a oem lowered front coil and a rear lowered leaf spring.


73-87 C-10 Chevrolet Pick up
Q: My spindle bolts up just fine to the truck but the rotor doesn’t fit the spindle pin ?

A: There are two options of brakes on this generation of truck, a light duty and a heavy duty. Measure the thickness of the rotor to decipher which you have. If you have a light duty (1” thick rotor) use part # 3200, if you have the heavy duty (1 ¼” thick rotor) Use part # 3100.

Q: I installed a front coil spring part # 4700 and it did not change the overall height
Of my truck ?

A: In some situations depending on the age, mileage, and overall condition of the truck, there may be some fatigue or “spring sag” which has occurred and changed the original ride height of the truck.


88-98 c1500 Chevrolet Pick up
Q: I installed a part #6500 shackle and hanger kit and it did not lower the vehicle a full 4” or the lowering is uneven from side to side.

A: The possible cure for a uneven “set” on the 4” kit is to loosen the leaf spring and the shackle eye bolts and torque the hardware to factory specifications while the truck is sitting on its wheels.

Q: I installed a part #6605 in my truck and now the truck has developed a vibration.

A: If the truck is a extended cab, a part #6607 should have been used. The proper driveline correction kit part #4985 can be added to the part #6605 to cure the vibrations. Also, the rear axle shims should have the thickest part of the shim facing the rear of the truck.


94-99 Dodge Ram Pick up
Q: I installed a set of front coil springs on my truck and now it sits uneven ?

A: These springs are designed with a specific driver and passenger side spring, They are identified by a stamping on the spring designating “D” for driver and “P” for passenger side.



Q: I have installed a set of your part #2650 drop spindles and it is time to replace the lower ball joint and the factory oem ball joint will not work ?

A: The part # 2650 requires the use of a custom lower ball joint manufactured by Belltech
That does not cross reference to any oem style joint. This can be purchased through any Belltech retailer and uses a part #2651.

 97-03 Ford F150
Q: Do you manufacture a drop spindle for these trucks ?

A: Yes ! Belltech is the only manufacture that does produce such a part, It is a part #2350 and it fits all 2wd models and cabs including the Lightning and Harley editions while also fitting the 97-02 2wd Expedition and Navigators. (Vehicles must run at least a 18” or larger wheel and tire combo)
